Team Origins
The Girl Commandos was led by Pat Parker who was also known as War Nurse. The team was consisted of members Mei-Ling from China, Tanya from Russia , and Ellen and Penny from England. The Girl Commandos were unique in convention and for comics of there time and even today. For example, Ellen was an over weight hero and Mei-Ling was a Chinese member depicted as an equal of the group. The Girl Commandos fought to until the end of the war.
