When adventurer, Fabian Gray, found an artifact known as the Dreamstone he urged his sister, Sylvia, to to read a spell that would, supposedly, activate it's powers. In a tragic accident the Dreamstone explodes, sending five shards into his chest, possessing him with the five ghosts.

However, the spirits start to rebel against Fabian, causing him to lose contentiousness every time he uses their power. Eventually the Five Ghosts begin slowly killing him until he undergoes five trials to earn their respect.
