In the Italian comic book Dampyr, the Vril-ya live in Agarthi The Black, one of the worlds of the Multiverse. They are a dictatorial and warlike society that uses the energy known as Vril to power up their technology. They also use the Vril to make weapons and obtain powers like flight, healing and more. They are ruled by the caste of the "Superni", seven people with a mastery over the Vril that is in their bodies, which grants them amazing powers, but has horribly deformed their shape, which they hide through illusions.
