This band of ultracriminals got their start when the mysterious Rex Mundi offered to pay them one million dollars for every nuclear weapons they could steal from Russian military outposts . The team is comprised of four Americans --- Book , Gate ,Death Dance and Meathook, each of whom is endowed with ultrapowers . At this point , they exist only to get rich , but they are already beginning to enjoy their powers too much ... and that always leads down dangerous roads.
