The Aspirants are the loyal servants of the First Firmament. They fought against the rebellious Celestials in a Celestial War but ultimately lost and the First Firmament was shattered into the very first Multiverse.

The Aspirants were created by Grant Morrison and J.G. Jones in Marvel Boy #5 - Zero Zero: Year of Love however it wasnt until Ultimates 2 #6 - War In Heaven by Al Ewing that they were given an orgin. The "Astro-Gods", "Death Celestials","Aspirants" and the "Celestial Destructor" were originally all unrelated until they were retconned.
