Biology

They are a sentient humanoid species whose short stature leads other species to highly underestimate them in all walks of life. Standing at a mere range of 1.5 metres and 1.6 metres, the Bothan race are a lot shorter than most of their fellow humanoid species whom they would encounter throughout the galaxy. With feline, canine and equine bodily features, it is presumed that the species evolved from one, if not more, of these species of animals, but which ones exactly is still unclear to this day. Their furry bodies leads to both the males and females having a beard which is similar to that of a goat.

The species were known to do extremely well in a couple of different professions across the galaxy including, and possibly the two in which they did best, were politics and being a spy. Despite how good they were in these professions, the Bothan race did have a drawback to them in that their race showed their emotional state of mind. Their coarse fur gently rippled across their bodies in response to their emotional state, revealing their emotions to those who knew how to read it. However it was rare for anyone else other than a fellow Bothan to be able to do so.
