Origin

Founded by a mysterious man only known as Tenfingers the Church of the Sheltering Hand is a religious organization that offers salvation and power to the downtrodden. It is extremely popular among illegal immigrants that live in and around Chinatown, New York City where it's temple was founded. Although it is connected to various criminal activities such as extortion and even murder the Church has applied for federal recognition.

Membership

The majority of the church's congregation is made up of immigrants that Tenfingers promises to keep safe from deportation and unemployment in return for money and loyalty. To prove their loyalty Tenfingers will often ask a member for a gift of one of their own fingers which most give up gladly. The highest ranking members of the church are gifted with a fraction of Tenfingers power and an extra digit. Notable church members are:
