Rachel Summers formed the Clan 2000 years in the future, when she was a part of Excalibur and taking the place of Captain Britain at the time. When she first got to the future she saw Apocalypse controlled just about everything and then decided to make a group to kill him. She finds a young Blaquesmith and he leads her to the Order of the Witness group and they join her in her fight. They start to become bigger in number and Rachel then gets the name Mother Askani, which means outsider and Bright Lady.
