Origin

Doctor Randal Pierce was working for Multicorp, a large multinational with a reputation for using its wealth to fight for environmentalist causes. Pierce was a true believer and developed armor that would enhance the strength and intelligence of six animals in his custody to protect the environment. Mutlicorp had other plans. While posing as mercenaries from a rival corporation, Flex, which was secretly an asset of Multicorp, they stole the gorilla in the middle of the armoring process. Mr. Frost, the CEO of Multicorp, has the armor reverse engineered so they could outfit their own team of armored, intelligent animals, codenamed Heavy Metal:

• Armory - an octopus
• Tailgunner - a vulture
