Brief History

Liberty Legion WWII ERA

The Liberty Legion was a stateside superhero group that fought against Nazi infiltrators during World War Two in the homeland. The group was formed when Bucky Barnes, Captain America's sidekick, and the Patriot sent a call for superheroes out over the radio airwaves. This was when the Invaders seemed to have been lost. Superheroes Miss America, the Whizzer, the Thin Man, Red Raven, Jack Frost and the Blue Diamond answered the call. The Liberty Legion appeared in the pages of the Invaders, Marvel Premiere, and Marvel Two-in-One.

Creation

The Liberty Legion was created by Roy Thomas and Don Heck in 1976 and first appeared as a team in Marvel Premiere # 29.
