Magnetic North
A mutant supremacy group at Empire State University that follows the teachings of Magneto.
Creation
The Magnetic North group was created by writer Brian Vaughan and artist Lee Ferguson. It first appeared in issue one of the 2002 Chamber mini-series. Only the leader of the group was properly named; all the other members were anonymous mutants with various powers and appearances due to said powers.
Major Story Arc
The Hollow Man
When six mutant students were killed in an explosion at Empire State University, Chamber of the X-Men was sent to investigate the incident. Once at ESU, Chamber was soon approached by Neutrino Annihilator, the leader of the group, and was asked to join their group. Chamber disagreed with their reverence for Magneto however, who they viewed as a martyr to the mutant cause (with Magneto believed to be dead at this particular point in time). Neutrino Annihilator and his group clashed with Chamber a few times, and were a possible suspect for the perpetrators behind the mutant deaths, since the mutants who died were part of Students for Tolerance - a campus pro-human/mutant coexistence group.

While looking for information about the case, Chamber wound up having to fight a majority of the group's members, although they were very inexperienced fighters even with their powers and were quickly beaten by the experienced X-Men member.
After it was revealed that the cause of the explosion that killed the mutant students was actually a mutant who had lost control of his powers, all mutants were asked to leave ESU for their own safety. The group most likely disbanded after that, or if not, then certainly after M-Day.
