Origin
The Mer-People reside within the waters surrounding Terror Island in The Savage Land. When Shanna and a S.H.I.E.L.D. team attempted to escape Terror Island in a make-shift raft, they were attacked by these creatures.
Creation
The Mer-People were created by writer/artist Frank Cho. They first appeared in the story "Savage, Part 1" in Savage Wolverine #1 (Jan. 2013)
