Film

Spider-Man (2002)

The company appears in the very first Spider-Man movie. In the film, Peter Parker is bitten by a genetically engineered "super spider" during field trip to Oscorp, which results in him gaining superpowers. Later, Norman Osborn uses a serum developed by the company to become the Green Goblin. He also uses a suit of armor and a glider that Oscorp had developed for military use.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)

The company receives an even more prominent role in the reboot of the series. Like in the original film, Peter's powers come from a genetically engineered spider, but the connection proves to be much deeper. In addition to Gwen Stacy being depicted as an employee, is revealed that Peter's parents, Richard and Mary Parker, were Oscorp scientists who worked alongside Curt Connors. After being killed in a plane crash, their work was continued by Connors, who eventually uses a serum to transform himself into the Lizard. Throughout the film, it is suggested that Oscorp may have orchestrated the death of the Parkers, and that their research was somehow tied to Norman Osborn's failing health.

In the sequel, it is confirmed that Norman Osborn is dying of a rare illness, and that he has been using Oscorp's resources to try and save his own life. After he passes away, his son, Harry, begins using the company's research division to try and cure himself of the same disease. During the course of the story, it is confirmed that Peter's parents were killed by a hitman hired by the company after they tried to blow the whistle on illegal biogenetic weapons that Oscorp was developing.

Oscorp researcher Max Dillon also becomes the supervillain Electro after falling into a tank filled with genetically-engineered eels that the company had been developing. This leads to him going on a rampage.

Near the end of the movie, Harry and his assistant Felicia discover that Norman had been keeping a series of secret projects hidden deep within the company. This includes the suit of armor and glider that Harry uses to become the Green Goblin, as well as the massive robotic armor that Aleksei Sytsevich uses to become the Rhino. Supplementary material for the movie reveals that Oscorp also developed a winged flight exoskeleton for the military, but the suit was shelved after the sale fell through.
