The Phansigars is one of the groups commanded by Fu Manchu, later, Fu Manchu creates the Order of the Golden Dawn, uniting Si-Fan, Phansigars and two other groups of Indian origin: Dacoits and Thugees.

Creation

Thugges are also known as Phansigars (using a noose), however, in the Marvel comics they are distinct groups that serve Fu Manchu, they are worshipers of the goddess Kali, something not shown in the comics. The Cult of Kali is associated with Fah Lo Suee in Sax Rohmer's novels, however, in Marvel Atlas says that both Thugees and the Cult of Kali are part of Fu Manchu's Celestial Order of the Si-Fan.

Thor & Hercules: Encyclopaedia Mythologica says Deathtoll killed Phansigars of a Cult of Kali and that Phansigars is a synonym for Thugees.

Phansigars serving Fu Manchu was the creation by the author Sax Rohmer, and first appeared in his 1913 novel The Mystery of Dr. Fu-Manchu, in the novel, phansigar is used as a synonym for thugee.
