Not much is known about the group better known as the Santerians, except that they have taken it upon themselves to protect the New York City neighbourhood Hell's Kitchen.
The Santerias are inspired by orishas from Yoruba mythology and share the same name.

Creation
The Santerians where created by Joe Quasada and first appeared in Daredevil: Father issue 2 (2005).
Santeria is the name of a religion of African origin in Cuba, it unites elements of Yoruba religion, Christianity and Spiritism.
