Origin

After the New Warriors took on villains that they were ill-equipped to handle, Standford, CT was destroyed in a nuclear-like explosion. To get the superheroes a semblance of checks and balances, Tony Star sponsored the Super-Hero Registration Act, which would require all superheroes to work for the government. Part of the act was the establishment of the 50-State Initiative, where each of the U.S. states would receive their own version of the Avengers, with heroes trained by former and active Avengers. The Command was assigned to Florida.

Marvel Zombies 3

Reporting to a call of distress, the Command came to the Citrusville swamps and were ambushed by locals who had been turned into zombies. The source of both the ambush and infection proved to be a Deadpool from a reality where a zombie plague had overtaken the Earth. The team leader, Siege, was taken out immediately by being bitten on the neck. Conquistador was swarmed and quickly torn apart. Aquarian and Jennifer Kale fended off the locals but were attacked by Deadpool. Together, they were able to dispose of him with a propellor blade but not without Aquarian getting bitten. He put himself into a state of hibernation with the belief that he could purge the infection.

Siege, on the other hand, had succumbed to the infection and tried to attack Kale. However, A.R.M.O.R. protocols in his cybernetic system detected that he had been compromised and forced him to terminate himself.

Both Aquarian and Kale (who was suffering from a catatonic shock) were brought back to A.R.M.O.R. central command, the Hollow, to receive the medical attention they needed.

Secret Invasion

One of the Initiative's biggest challenges was the secret invasion of Skrulls. Many of them took the form of superheroes so they were planted across all the teams. The Command member, Conquistador (a second one to replace the previous one) was an imposter. He was found out by 3-D Man, who has a special pair of goggles, the only gadget that can see the Skrulls' true nature.
