The Derangers began as patients of Scramble but were released by Aurora. They were later tracked down by Bedlam, who took control of them, using his mental abilities. He used them to fight Alpha Flight, but they turned on him. Bedlam then slaughtered all of them except Laura Dean and Goblyn .

Creation

The Derangers were created by Bill Mantlo and Terry Shoemaker in 1987 and first appeared in Alpha Flight # 48.
