The Leader decapitates a number of humans who were dying from exposure to gamma radiation and place their heads onto android bodies. Six members escape and five of them form the Headshop. Largo leads the team and the other members consist of Headgear, Deadhead, Headmistress and Thunderhead. The other escapee is a man named Frost who becomes an enforcer for a crime family in Las Vegas. Chief Largo has come into conflict with the Hulk on a previous occasion but would come to his aid when he is captured by the United States Army.  
 
 Largo approaches Betty Ross and tells her the plan to free the Hulk so he can help them exact revenge on the Leader. Largo and the rest of the Headshop free the Hulk from the heavily guarded Army base. The Hulk informs them that the Leader was dead and the Headshop's pursuit for the gamma radiated intellect has ceased. Betty Ross knew that the Leader has died prior to freeing the Hulk but did not tell Largo and his team because it was the fuel they needed to free her husband. Largo understood that everyone was using everyone but this information infuriated Headmistress and she had words with Betty Ross. The current whereabouts of the Headshop are unknown.
