Origin
The Vrellnexians once succeeded in overwhelming Asgard and taking the immortals prisoner, selling them as slaves near the Golden Star. They even captured Odin. However Thor was able to defeat them and release his father and fellow Asgardians.
Creation
The Vrellnexians were created by Gerry Conway and first appeared in "Journey to the Golden Star" in 1973.
