The Rise of Magic
The Rise of Magic are a clandestine magic cult based around demonology, various forms of witchcraft and the secret teachings and practices of "the old ways". Established by Natas Talbane they seek to control the world through technology, government and magic bringing about what they deem "The Breaking Point" where they can rise and bring order from it's current chaos.
Overview
The Rise of Magic is a clandestine and highly secretive cult that seeks to merge ancient magical practices with modern technology and political influence to achieve global domination. Founded by the enigmatic and powerful billionaire Natas Talbane, the cult is built on the belief that the world is teetering on the edge of chaos, and only through their guidance can true order be restored. They refer to this envisioned upheaval as "The Breaking Point," a critical juncture where the current world order collapses, allowing them to establish a new regime rooted in their esoteric knowledge and unyielding control.
The Rise of Magic operates under a dual philosophy that blends ancient and modern thought. At its core, the cult venerates "the old ways," a term they use to describe the secret teachings and practices of ancient civilizations, particularly those related to demonology and witchcraft. They believe that these ancient powers, long suppressed by mainstream religions and governments, hold the key to true power and influence.
The cult also embraces the idea that magic and technology are not opposing forces but complementary ones. By integrating their arcane knowledge with cutting-edge technology, they aim to create a hybrid form of control that can be wielded over both the physical and metaphysical realms. This belief drives their efforts to infiltrate global governments, corporations, and technological industries, where they subtly manipulate systems and policies to align with their long-term goals.
The Rise of Magic is organized into a strict hierarchical structure, with Natas Talbane at the top as the Supreme Magus. Below him are the Inner Circle, a group of elite members who are privy to the most secretive rituals and plans. These individuals are usually powerful magic users, experts in various forms of witchcraft, or influential figures in politics and technology.
Beneath the Inner Circle are various sects or covens, each specializing in a different aspect of the cult's practices. Some focus on demonology, summoning and binding infernal entities to do their bidding. Others delve into necromancy, blood magic, or alchemy, each contributing their expertise to the cult's overall objectives. These sects operate independently in their specific domains but report to the Inner Circle, ensuring a cohesive strategy across the organization.
The cult's practices are deeply rooted in dark magic and ancient rituals. They engage in demon summoning, using these entities to gather information, influence events, or simply demonstrate their power. Blood magic is another common practice, often involving human sacrifice to increase the potency of their spells or to seal pacts with demonic forces.
Rituals within the Rise of Magic are meticulously planned and executed, often involving complex incantations, elaborate sigils, and rare magical artifacts. These rituals are not just for power but are seen as acts of devotion to the ancient forces they worship. Members believe that by performing these rituals, they are not only gaining personal power but are also hastening the arrival of The Breaking Point.
One of the cult's most dangerous aspects is its ability to infiltrate and manipulate. Members of the Rise of Magic hold positions in governments, multinational corporations, and influential think tanks. They subtly influence policies, direct technological advancements, and sway public opinion to create the conditions necessary for The Breaking Point.
Their manipulation is not limited to the mundane world. They also employ magic to affect the minds of leaders, cause chaos in rival organizations, and even destabilize economies through curses and hexes. This dual approach—using both conventional means and magical influence—makes the Rise of Magic a formidable force that operates in the shadows, almost completely undetected by the general public.
The ultimate goal of the Rise of Magic is to bring about The Breaking Point, a cataclysmic event that will destabilize the current world order. They believe that only through this chaos can they rise to power, establishing a new era where they reign supreme. This event is seen as inevitable, a necessary purge that will cleanse the world of its weaknesses and allow the strong—namely, the members of the Rise of Magic—to take their rightful place as rulers.
To prepare for The Breaking Point, the cult engages in long-term planning, setting the stage through political manipulation, technological control, and the accumulation of arcane power. They are patient, knowing that each action, no matter how small, brings them closer to their goal.
The Rise of Magic is more than just a cult; it is a calculated and highly organized movement with the ambition to control the world. Through their unique blend of ancient magic and modern influence, they seek to bring about a new world order, one in which they hold ultimate power. Their methods are as varied as they are dangerous, from blood rituals and demon summoning to corporate infiltration and political manipulation. As they continue to work towards The Breaking Point, their influence grows, making them a hidden but ever-present threat to the world as it is known.
