Lion-o is locked in the Book of Omens training for five years while Mumm-ra destroys Thundercat society and takes over Thundera. Snarf frees Lion-o, and they work to gather the remaining Thundercats to defeat Mumm-ra. Mumm-ra is temporarily defeated, but not before he can corrupt Wilykat to turn on the Thundercats.
