Flaming Carrot was a creator-owned franchise by Bob Burden and though he appeared in various other books including anthologies, this was his one titular series. It changed publishers a number of times: Aardvark-Vanaheim (#1-5), Renegade Press (#6-17) and Dark Horse Comics (#18-32). The series was partially collected by Dark Horse (Flaming Carrot Comics Collected Album) and spawned an annual (Flaming Carrot Comics Annual) and later a special, Flaming Carrot Comics Special by Image (under their Desperado imprint).
