Spinning out of Hellboy, Mike Mignola's Lobster gets his first mini-series (though the character already had a starring role in a backup story, The Killer in My Skull, in an issue of Hellboy).

Lobster Johnson is published as a series of connected one-shots and mini-series with a continuous numbering system printed on the inside covers. This mini-series represents issues 1-5 in the ongoing Lobster Johnson meta-series. It is followed by Lobster Johnson: The Burning Hand.
