Continued from Uncanny X-Men (vol.2). After the conclusion of Avengers Vs. X-Men and the AVX: Consequences mini-series comes this series. A Marvel NOW! title starring the original five X-Men. The teenage Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Iceman, Angel and Beast are brought into the present to face a future where Professor Xavier’s dream has become a nightmare. The series lasted until issue 41 and was continued in All-New X-Men Vol.2 after the events of Secret Wars and the (later published) Death of X mini-series.
Although the series was a replacement of the Uncanny X-Men series, that series returned as well with Uncanny X-Men (vol. 3) some months after this series started.
Written by Brian Michael Bendis.
