Ka-Zar's first ongoing series. It was continued from Ka-Zar's adventures in Astonishing Tales Volume 1, in which he had been the star from issues 1 until 20. This series also lasted for a total of 20 issues.
Before this series, there had been a Ka-Zar mini-series in 1970, with new stories and some reprints of Ka-Zar's earlier adventures. Four years after this series ended, a second ongoing series named Ka-Zar The Savage started.
