Origin

Jolie was living on the streets of New Orleans as a child when she was found by Jace Boucher. He was specifically sent out into the streets to find new recruits for the monster hunting fraternity, The Order of St. George, specifically at the La Maison de Boucher. Unfortunately, The Old Dragon from the House of Slaughter was wary about the New Orleans agenda. He sent a troop of hunters to killing everyone except Jace and Jolie. Except Jace thought he saw Jolie die as the Butcher Shop collapsed while on fire.

Instead, Jolie continued her training. She was taken in by The Order and helped rebuild The Butcher Shop to its former glory.

Major Story Arcs

The Return of Jace Boucher

Jolie was leading a pack of White Masks against a mother monster and her babies when she came across a young boy, named Sunny. She decided to bring Sunny into the fold as is The Butcher Shop's way. After using Sunny as bait to lure the baby monsters out and slay them, Jolie brought Sunny back to their home base. She gave him a tour, made him feel welcome, filled his belly, and put him to bed. She also forced an initiation by locking a monster in his bedroom.

After Sunny passed his initiation, Jolie went to the bar The Butcher Shop owned called The Messiah Bar. There, she was approached by Jace, who thought he could leverage their old friendship for her help getting Sunny out. Instead, Jolie unloaded her disappointment about how Jace abandoned her that day of the fire. When she found out he had more kids like Sunny in the woods, she threw Jace to her fellow hunters so that he wouldn't be in the way when she went to recruit them.

Jolie attended to Sunny's "baptism" while she sent a troop of White Masks to abduct the kids Jace was keeping in the woods. Those White Masks would be slaughtered by Jace, who had escaped from The Butcher Shop and added an axe-head to his amputated arm. When Jace made it to the baptism, he started taking out more White Masks, forcing Jolie to fight him herself. She failed to take him on, but before Jace's killing blow, he was interrupted by Sunny. Sunny made it clear that he chose Jolie and The Order over Jace. So, Jolie gave Jace a head start before they started hunting him.

The Butcher's War

After letting Jace go, the Old Dragon from the House of Slaughter came to The Butcher Shop for the first time since he burned it down. He brought his own Silver Masks to aid in the Butcher Shop's slaying of Jace. Jolie knew that Jace's weak spot was Sunny, so she used him as bait at an amusement park to flush Jace out. Unfortunately, Sunny saw The Order for what it truly was and leaked the trap to Jace. Despite this, Sunny was dedicated to The Order believing it was the best and fastest way to become a monster hunter. He just wanted Jace to be okay.

For that sin, Jolie punished Sunny. After losing Jace again, she had Sunny tied to a chair so that she might interrogate him. She was able to extract the location of Maven's swamp house where Jace's other kids were being kept. She led a group of white masks to the house, killing Maven and taking the children. She would keep them a safe distance from the Butcher Shop, knowing Jace would come there to rescue them. When he started a fight with the hunters waiting for him, the Butcher Shop caught fire, killing Jace and finally leaving the kids in Jolie's care.

Powers and Abilities

Monster Hunter: Jolie is a well-trained monster hunter. She is able to track and has keen deductive reasoning. She is handy with most bladed weapons and is an Olympic-level athlete.

Rite of Trepanation: Jolie has undergone a ritual that allows her to continue seeing monsters beyond her 18th birthday.
