Frank
Analyst for the Department of Truth, assigned to monitor the internet
- Intellect
Origin
Frank was a computer savvy high school student. She was concerned for the safety of an old friend, Bobbie, who she grew apart from. Bobbie had been messing around with drugs and anonymous internet trolls, both of which put her head in the wrong space. She was guzzling cough syrup to get high in order to see The Hatman, a devilish meme character similar to The Slender Man. Frank's personal investigation into Bobbie's disappearance went nowhere until Frank start guzzling cough syrup in order to see what Bobbie saw. Once high, Frank was attacked by The Hatman. Her friend, Dexter, tried to save Frank, but The Hatman smashed his head into a car window, killing him. Using a glass shard, Frank stabbed The Hatman in the neck, at which point, The Hatman turned into Bobbie, who forgave Frank and died. Ruby and Hawk of the Department of Truth were the first on scene. They helped her with a cover story and recruited her to the DOT, which was in dire need of a computer expert.

White Hat

Significant changes to the DOT started to occur when Cole Turner, who was at the center of the Satanic Panic as a child, was recruited. For one, Hawk had grown disillusioned with the organization enough to defect to Black Hat, the clandestine organization that wants to end the DOT. Black Hat also got to Lee’s rival at the Ministry of Lies. He handed everything Black Hat needed to take down the DOT and then had himself killed to send a message to Lee.
Black Hat was even able to connect with Matty Kane, Cole Turner’s reporter husband. With their files being dumped on the internet and causing all old conspiracies to come back, Cole suggested a radical new strategy to Lee: tell the truth using Matty as their mouthpiece. So Lee told Matty everything. Before Matty can publish anything, Lee starts to regret it. He decides to go directly to the White House and inform the President about the Department of Truth for the first time since Nixon.
With the help of the current administration, Lee was able to get back control of DOT. Most of the old analysts were fired: including Frank, Hunky, and Doc Hynes. Cole and Matty were forced to go underground, but first they freed the Star Faced Man and took him with them before the DOT could take advantage. In their places, Lee hired incel Chuckie and religious zealot Chastity Sinclair.
Doc, Hunky, and Frank managed to secret out some files to an off-grid cabin that belonged to Doc, where Cole and Matty were hiding. There, they planned their next move. They determined they need to tell three stories. The story of Lee and the Department, the story of Barker and Black Hat, and the story of Cole and White Hat, which they have decided to name themselves.
