Hunky
An analyst for the Department of Truth, in charge of monitoring the media, son of the First Ranger of the Department.
Origin
Hunky was one of the two children of Huck, the Department of Truth's first field agent. Huck did his best to train his kids to follow in his footsteps, but only his daughter, Darla, showed any interest. Instead, Hunky put his laziness to good use as the Department's new media analyst. His first big case was when he saw a live broadcast from an evangelical theme park that displayed early humans living alongside dinosaurs. The pastor's daughter, Charity Sinclair, was so convinced that she believed dinosaurs could still exist, and thus they did at her family's park. He and Doc Hynes went to investigate and managed to spin a live broadcast as a late-night movie, killing any momentum this wild fiction had.
Creation
Hunky first appeared in The Department of Truth #2 by James Tynion IV and Martin Simmonds

White Hat

Significant changes to the DOT started to occur when Cole Turner, who was at the center of the Satanic Panic as a child, was recruited. For one, Hawk had grown disillusioned with the organization enough to defect to Black Hat, the clandestine organization that wants to end the DOT. Black Hat also got to Lee’s rival at the Ministry of Lies. He handed everything Black Hat needed to take down the DOT and then had himself killed to send a message to Lee.
Black Hat was even able to connect with Matty Kane, Cole Turner’s reporter husband. With their files being dumped on the internet and causing all old conspiracies to come back, Cole suggested a radical new strategy to Lee: tell the truth using Matty as their mouthpiece. So Lee told Matty everything. Before Matty can publish anything, Lee starts to regret it. He decides to go directly to the White House and inform the President about the Department of Truth for the first time since Nixon.
With the help of the current administration, Lee was able to get back control of DOT. Most of the old analysts were fired: including Frank, Hunky, and Doc Hynes. Cole and Matty were forced to go underground, but first they freed the Star Faced Man and took him with them before the DOT could take advantage. In their places, Lee hired incel Chuckie and religious zealot Chastity Sinclair.
Doc, Hunky, and Frank managed to secret out some files to an off-grid cabin that belonged to Doc, where Cole and Matty were hiding. There, they planned their next move. They determined they need to tell three stories. The story of Lee and the Department, the story of Barker and Black Hat, and the story of Cole and White Hat, which they have decided to name themselves.
