Hunter Hill
A conspiracy theorist stopped by The Department of Truth and eventually recruited by them.
Origin
Hunter Hill fell for the viral pizzagate conspiracy that a child sex trafficking ring was operating secretly though pizza restaurants. In 2016, he armed himself and entered the Pizza Go Go restaurant and demanded to see their basement. Despite a worker saying that there isn't one, a glowing door manifested. It had a long twisty staircase with the sounds of screaming children coming from below. Hunter forced the worker to descend with him, but they were both stopped by Ruby, an agent with the Department of Truth. She shot Hunter and had him arrested. As they left, the door vanished as quickly as it manifested.
Origin
Hunter Hill first appeared in The Department of Truth #0 by James Tynion IV and Martin Simmonds. It was a prequel issue that was released between issues 33 and 34. Hunter Hill shares similarities with Edgar Maddison Welch, a man who also believed in the pizzagate conspiracy and opened fire with at Washington, D.C. pizza restaurant.
