Creative Concept
Vandel was created by Rob Liefeld in early 2022 as part of a new group of superheroes called "The Defiants" for a series of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) aiming to build a new comic book universe connected to his Extreme Studios creations.
Vandel's next appearance was briefly seen in Heirborne in the back-flip of Brigade: Remastered Edition #1. Vandel officially made his full appearance in Youngblood #1 in 2025.
