Origin

Makiko Morioka is a Japanese mutant whose body is made of plant matter. She grew up in a wooded area with a high concentration of conifers. Using her powers, she became an assassin with an 80% kill rate and inspired Japan to start working on a bonsai plant with her same powers.

Major Story Arc

Euro-Trash

The Powers That Be in charge of the Kingdom of Europa hired Miz to join a mutant mercenary group called Euro-Trash. They were assigned to target European pop star, Henrietta Hunter, who was being protected by the American mutant group, X-Statix.

Miz and the rest of the team engaged X-Statix in combat in New York City. There, they had backup from Spider-Man. After a brief fight, Miz grabbed Henrietta and brought her into X-Statix's gift shop. Her team joined her there, with The Wall created a rock exterior blocking their rival team.

Henrietta was able to talk the team into rehabbing their public brand in the same way as X-Statix. Unfortunately, Henrietta was not able to explain this to X-Statix before they made their move. Miz was set on fire by an energy blast from The Anarchist.

Powers & Abilities

Plant Manipulation: Miz's body is made of plant matter that allows her to take on the properties of plants. This includes stretching her body like vines and formed giant thorn claws.
