Operation Camembert was a covert operation designed to sway public opinion in France when the Americans unlawfully declared war on Iraq. Brad Bently was fully trained for his mission undercover mission. His disguise consisted of a simian costume and tacky French beret. His greatest power was to know just when to quit. Under this guise, he entered Paris as Surrender Monkey but fell in love with its great culture and people. This caused him to go rouge, relocating to Rhone Valley to living out his life. Here he joined a cult called the Church of the Naked Truth, which believed it was wrong to wear clothes.

Eurotrash

The Powers That Be in charge of the Kingdom of Europa hired Miz to join a mutant mercenary group called Euro-Trash. They were assigned to target European pop star, Henrietta Hunter, who was being protected by the American mutant group, X-Statix.

Miz and the rest of the team engaged X-Statix in combat in New York City. There, they had backup from Spider-Man. After a brief fight, Miz grabbed Henrietta and brought her into X-Statix's gift shop. Her team joined her there, with The Wall created a rock exterior blocking their rival team.

Henrietta was able to talk the team into rehabbing their public brand in the same way as X-Statix. Unfortunately, Henrietta was not able to explain this to X-Statix before they made their move. Monkey seemingly had his neck broken by orphan.

Church of the Naked Truth

Somehow, Surrender Monkey survived his encounter with X-Statix as a member of the Euro-Trash. He would encounter them again when the cult her was a member of, The Church of the Naked Truth, got their hands on a brain fragment of Doop.

Mr Sensitive and Iron Man went into the Rhone Valley in search of the fragment, and Bently convinced the priest to keep it and use it to gather money for the church. Sadly, the priest and Bently were labelled heretics by the church members when they donned clothing. They ripped the Surrender Monkey costume from Bradley, revealing his humanity to Mr. Sensitive. Iron Man even recognized him as a rogue CIA agent.

Iron Man was then able to recover the fragment.
