Origin
Calvin attended the Young Minds Science Expo, Sponsored by Stark-Tech, which was intended to introduce the next brilliant minds in science to the corporate world. Calvin brought his carbonadium synthesizer and was set up in the booth next to Moon Girl, who was preaching against "planned obsolescence." Calvin tried to make friends with her, but he had ulterior motives. He set his squid-themed harnesses to snatch up the other child geniuses for AIM, announcing himself as "Squid Kid." He was foiled by Moon Girl. During his escape, he offered Luna the chance to join him at AIM, but she refused.

Major Story Arc
Sinister Six
Squid Kid wants to move fast and break things, like most so-called geniuses. To help him, he recruits five more members for his Sinister Six:
- Rhinoceress - A queer runaway with super strength
- Mysteriant - A relative of Mysterio with access to his tech
- Willow-Wisp - An anti-corporate terrorist with goblin gear
- Apostate - A former Dora Milaje turned lonely vampire
- Lizard Boy - The mutated son of Dr. Curt Connors.
Their first action was to break into OsCorp and kidnap Stanley Osborn for the goblin formula written into his genetics. Squid Kid had already collected proprietary intel from all the other major corporations. He kept the kidnapping part of the plan away from his team since a few members were not so happy with it. One such member was Mysteriant, who started making plans with the Avengers Academy cadets to take him down. They freed Stanley, revealed the proprietary intel to the world making it useless to Calvin's future, and bankrupted him, causing his teammates to quit.
With both teams turned on him, Squid Kid makes his escape by swimming away.

Variants
Dystopian Future
Moon Girl meets a grown up version of Calvin when she and Normie Osborn are sent to the future by Kid Immortus. He was calling himself Doctor Nautilus and was working for Hexus. Hexus had destroyed the world trying to increase their profits and Calvin was completely disillusioned with his egotistical pursuit to fixing the world and getting the credit. He teamed up with the Avengers Academy cadets to help set the world right.
