Ray continues the previous issue's fight with Dr Polaris, and we finally get some straight answers about Ray's origin.

The original Ray (Happy Terrill) is washed up on shore in Florida while his son the new Ray (Ray Terrill) is fighting for his life against the mad Dr. Polaris. Ray is not doing too well as a new hero but in the end comes out alright by helping to release Neal Emerson from Dr. Polaris.

It is at this time that Happy tells his son the history of the Ray and answers questions Ray has been asking since day one. Unfortunately their conversation is cut short when it is discovered that Emerson cannot control his powers without Dr. Polaris.

Meanwhile Jenny Jurden is out to get some answers to save Ray. She even helps Sister Rosemary and Sister Mary Rose find Caldwell the Candleman.
