"Torn" is a comic book arc running through #13-18 of Astonishing X-Men (volume three).

Following a catastrophic tragedy caused by superhumans, the US Government passes a Super-Human Registration Act that requires all super-powered individuals in the country to reveal their identities, disclose their powers and personal details, and register as government employees or risk indefinite incarceration. This causes a deep rift in the hero community, with some backing the Act while others oppose it.

A pseudo-sequel to Contest of Champions told across annuals in 1986.

During this arc, the heroes of Earth were sent to a pocket dimension instead of being killed by Onslaught.

While the Avengers join forces with a cosmic armada to repel the Builders, Thanos takes advantage of their absence to lay siege to Earth.

The Avengers team up with the new Hulk as the Hood makes a crazy power move to bring the Infinity Gauntlet together once more. But the Hood has no idea the power he is toying with and who is coming to earth to challenge him for it.

When the Invaders time travel to the present, they encounter both the Mighty Avengers and the New Avengers. Attempting to return the Invaders home, all three teams are sent back to a past altered by a Cosmic Cube wielding Red Skull.

Avengers Reborn was a 4 issue story arc that ran in Avengers Spotlight 37-40. It was used to bring several Avengers out of comicbook limbo and revitalize the characters.

"Subterranean Wars" was a five-part storyline running through Marvel's 1991 Annuals. The story took place entirely through Annuals with a cover date of June, 1991.
