Introduction

Chris Claremont proposed this opening arc as the "beginning of the end" for the x-men. It is the first story-arc from this alternate time designated earth 41001 in the marvel multiverse. It shows a future timeline that takes place chronologically after NEW X-MEN (2001 series) #154 after Scott accepts Emma's proposal to open back the school. It effectively replaces the " Here Comes Tomorrow " future/time line which White Phoenix Jean erased.

Cable, apocalypse, shatterstar, Irene merywether, puffball, meltdown, wolfs bane, prodigy, shakti, Technarx, scalp hunter, cerise, Thaiis, Thais, Carter Ghazikhanian, Nico, Hub, Buwark, Cargill/ Frenzy, Juggernaut, many Xavier students, many patrons of kitty’s bar and Divinity all die.

It Confirms the death of Havok and Annie Ghazikhanian sometime in the past.

It marks the return of Madelyne Pryor and Jean Grey

It Debut the mutants Kid Colossus, Rebecca Raven Lebeau,

Megan Summers, Oliver Raven, baby Alex Summers Jr and the summer-frost twins.

It also marks the complete destruction of Xavier mansion through rupturing of it's anti-matter fusion reactor which has never happened before.
