Created by Marvel Architects Jason Aaron and Chris Bachalo, this new era of X-Men tales begins in this volume. Wolverine returns to the remains of the Xavier Institute to form his very own school for mutants. Professor Xavier is no longer responsible for a a school filled with mutant kids. That's Wolverine's job at the new Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. The series lasted for 42 issues, after which it was directly continued into Wolverine & the X-Men Vol 2.
