Origin

When Miles Morales found himself accidentally on Earth-6160, he secured the origin boxes that universe's Tony Stark used to create new superheroes. When taking them to his world's Tony Stark for safe keeping, Miles was attacked by The Spot, who was hired by someone who knew about the boxes to steal them. While fighting, Miles' venom blast caused Spot's teleportation to destabilize briefly, sending the origin boxes around the New York area. One recipient was Vin Lerner, a construction worker from New Jersey and father of a young daughter. He went viral for helping a little old lady cross a busy street, earning him the name Wonder Man, despite it already being taken. Ironically, he received powers similar to Wonder Man.

Major Story Arc

Ultimate Impact

Vin had a hard time getting used to his powers and often denied he even had any until a SHIELD helicarrier was hijacked. With so many people in danger, Vin couldn't stand by and do nothing. He flew up the best he could to the carrier and joined a few heroes who were fighting Hostilicus, a warrior from the Negative Zone. He got there just in time to save Captain America from being thrown overboard. He teamed up with the others in order to clink Hostilicus' wrists together, since he was wearing Nega-Bands. They managed to use them to send him back.
