Origin

When Miles Morales found himself accidentally on Earth-6160, he secured the origin boxes that universe's Tony Stark used to create new superheroes. When taking them to his world's Tony Stark for safe keeping, Miles was attacked by The Spot, who was hired by someone who knew about the boxes to steal them. While fighting, Miles' venom blast caused Spot's teleportation to destabilize briefly, sending the origin boxes around the New York area. One recipient was Paulina, a writer for Boothe Media who was depressed over her boss' recent censorship of her work. She received magical second sight and spellcasting abilities

Ultimate Impact

With her new second sight, Paulina could see the interdimensional bacteria that were usually invisible to the naked eye. Overwhelmed, she managed to filter what she saw using a disposed of phoropter. Once she was able to process the visions better, she found she was able to use them to help people. This ability also allowed her to see that her boss, Orson Boothe, was potentially a danger. He had received his own origin box and used it to manipulate Hostilicus, a barbarian from Negative Zone, to create footage for his media company.

When she tried to confront him about it, he used his power of persuasion to make her jump out of the skyscraper window. She had no choice, but as she was falling, her magic powers kicked in even more than before. She manifested a costume, transformed the phropter into more stylish glasses, and flew to the SHIELD hellicarrier that Hostilicus at hijacked. She joined a few other heroes whose attention Hostilicus also got. Using a Doctor Strange like rune, she blocked a portal to the Negative Zone, stopping the Annihilation Wave from coming through, while the other heroes send Hostilicus back to his own dimension.

Powers & Abilities

Second Sight: Paulina's main ability seems to be a second sight. It allows her to see interdimensional bacteria and magical glyphs. Now that she can see them, she is able to reach out and touch them, thus altering reality.
