Origin

Since she was a little girl, Eru has been obsessed over her twintails, as she feels that whenever she has her twintails, she's at her best.

Creation

Eru was created by Nakamura Rikito (writer) and Yukiko Nozawa (artist), and she first appeared on Weekly Young Jump No. 33 from 2025, in the 222nd chapter of The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You.

The name Futate Eru (双天彗流) is a pun on the word for twintail in japanese (ツインテール), but changing the twin part with the kanji for double (双), with the rest being read as "Teeru" when written all together, which sounds similar to the tail part of the word twintail (テール, tēru). This is in reference to her fashionable twintails.

Character Evolution

Appearance

Eru is normally seen wearing a ryousangata style of outfit, composed of a blouse, pinafore, puffy sleeves, a white ribbon, kneesocks, and loafers with anklets and soles, she complements this outfit with spiked accesories. When she's at school, she wears the normal school uniform, but adding ribbons and loafers. She's always seen with her high baby blue twintails, which are made with the help of two small bowtie ribbons. She also has black eyes.

Personality

Eru really appreciates and loves her twintails, and constantly thinks that people around her are either jealous of her twintails or are appreciating them. She does, however, become distressed whenever her twintails are undone.
